No Fail Pie Crust

This is such an easy crust recipe. And it really never fails me. This reciepe makes enough for two pie crusts.

  • 2 C All purpose flour
  • 1/2 C Cold butter
  • 1/2 C Shortening
  • Pinch Salt
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 1/2 C Cold water


  • To make the crust
  • Add all ingredients except the water to a food processor and pulse until pea size clumps form. slowly add in the water until dough forms.
  • Put in some plastic wrap and form a circle or divide into two circles. Refrigerate or put in freezer until you are ready to make your next pie.


Make sure to add your water slowly as sometimes it may call for less water than the written amount.
Make sure your water is cold.
