Hi There, If your anything like me you are waiting patiently for Spring. It will be a while here before Spring comes to Michigan, so in the mean time I like to make my spaces inside my home cozy and Spring like. Also since it is time for the ten on the tenth blog hop I thought I would share how I made it with you. Be sure and check out the other ladies projects below. They are all so talented!
The theme this month was craft of your choice. I had seen a similar garland like this that was way out of my price range and so I decided to try and make one.
Items I used:
Two packages of the small bottles from the dollar store. $2.50
Thin wire, which I already had.
Velvet ribbon, half off at Hobby Lobby $1.50
Lace, half off at Hobby Lobby $1.50
Roses, already had.
$5.00 total
First I removed the tops from the bottles and discarded. Then cut my wire to the size I wanted.
I then started wrapping my wire around each bottle leaving some space between. The amount of space is up to you and where you are displaying it.
I started snipping my flower stems off to the length I needed. I used a dab of hot glue to glue the flower to the edge of the bottle. I just wanted to make sure it was secure once the garland is hanging.
Now is the fun part just start tying on your ribbons and lace or really whatever goes with your aesthetic of your home.
I used some pink velvet ribbon and some white lace. I love how it turned out! Exactly what was in my head. It is always nice when that happens.
Now be sure and check out the other ladies projects for some great inspiration.
Corine! This is absolutely adorable! I love this. And I have to say those tiny bottles are just the cutest. I would never have thought to put them on the ornate wood piece, but it’s perfect. Also, I can see it in summer with flowers from the garden. So pretty!!!!
How beautiful your garland looks up on the trim piece or ladder trim (not sure what it is) anyway it is sure a showstopper. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. Love it!
That was an excellent idea to use those little Dollar Tree bottles for your flower garland! Now your wall decor looks extra special for spring. Looks wonderful!
This turned out so cute! I love the look of the garland hanging on the wood. I’m definitely going to be looking for those little bottles. I have tiny glass jars that might work. Thanks for the inspiration!
Happy hopping!
