I needed one more item for my mantel to balance it out. So I decided to take an old piece of home decoration I had and was going to take to Goodwill.
I removed the extras and painted the inside of this white and then taped it off to make a faux grain sack stripe on it. Then I taped it off with the painters tape to paint a thinner stripe on it. Hopefully to make this seem a little more of a farmhouse decoration to blend in with what I already have.
Then I took a paintbrush and two different colors of paint in a black and a metallic gold. the black will be for the x’s and the gold metallic will be for the O’s. I just kind of put them all down the opposite side of the stripe. And then I added a sealer on top of it all.
Hope you like this quick and easy craft for Valentines day. This was literally the easiest one I have done. Now I am looking at other decorations I had I was going to get rid of.
