Today I am joining some ladies from the Ten on the Tenth Blog Challenge. Tammy from Patina and Paint Blog
hosts this every month. I am excited to be joining them. My craft is quite simple and is more neutral than most. I like to add neutral Valentines decorations in but this year I am going with some light pink and black and white. I promise it will look nice. Or at least I hope what is in my mind looks the same in real life lol.
Here is my list of supplies: All can be found at the dollar store.
Block of wood, wallpaper or contact paper, jute, cardboard and yarn.
I painted my block of wood white and then sanded and added some brown paint on the sanded parts to give it some dimension.
After that I cut my wallpaper into a heart shape. I then glued it to the piece of board. I had cut out a heart from the cardboard piece and wrapped yarn around it. You can see how I did it in this blog post here.
This pink heart I had received from a friend she made me a bunch of wrapped hearts. I am so excited to use them in different projects. I added some jute to help it coordinate with the wallpaper. I just hot glued it on to the wallpaper heart.
I wrapped additional jute around the bottom edge for more texture.
There you have it my first Valentine DIY of 2022. I would love for you to go and visit the blogs below for more Valentine inspiration, you are going to love them.

Corine your project is so cute. I’ve seen those jute hearts and thought that they were super cute! I love the neutral tones and I think this would make a great decor item – even year round. Thanks for sharing. I love this project!
Thank you Tammy and fun to make.
I am trying a different color theme with my Valentine’s too Corine. I love how easy your craft is. We can do this with any colors we want! Thanks for sharing!
Can’t wait to see all you do! Thank you so much ❤️
So cute! I’m going with neutral Valentine’s Day colors this year too, blush, gold, and white. I just love the wallpaper you used and the “worn” look of the wood. Adorable! I’m definitely going to try this idea. Maybe for spring. I’ll tag you! Pinned! BTW your links are in my post now. So sorry I missed you!
Happy hopping!
