Hey there, to day I am joining some ladies who are challenged to do a diy for ten dollars or under. Our theme for this month is Fall. It could be fall anything as long as it stays ten dollars or under.
My diy is another yarn pumpkin. I am calling it a yarn roving pumpkin. It was so fun and easy to do. First I took a dollar store pumpkin and cut out a small hole in the center of the pumpkin.

I then cut my roving yarn in strips to fit from the top to bottom of the pumpkin. After that I started hot gluing the strips on. I didn’t pull hard on this yarn because if you do it does tear easily.

I used a skewer to push the ends of the yarn into the top of the pumpkin. This really helps to give it some dimension to it. After that just keep gluing your pieces on until it is all covered.

For the stem I used a real pumpkin stem I had from last year. I dry my stems each year so I have them for the next years projects. Here is another pumpkin project I did. And you find how I did a centerpiece with pumpkins here.

My total for my project was free because I had everything. But for those who do not here is the breakdown:
$1 for pumpkin from dollar store
$1.75 for the yarn 30% off at Hobby Lobby and I only used 1/4 of it.
Total $2.75

Now I know you will want to go and visit my friends and see their projects.
