We are in the middle of our growing season here in Michigan.
My plants are growing wonderful, unfortunately so are the weeds!
This is when you can see the fruits of your labor
The potatoes are going to be ready by the weekend. See them hilling up and cracking that means we have some good stuff under there.
The garden is my favorite place to be I sit in an area by it every night to relax. Lately I’ve found myself seeing the weeds more than the produce and as hard as we try I can’t make this garden immaculate. That can get depressing as I’m looking at everyone’s beautiful raised beds with no weeds all over the internet. But we grow pumpkins to sell and grow veggies for our family. My hubby has let me know raised beds wouldn’t work out for us.
Then as I’m sitting there contemplating this as I often do, and get myself all worked up it’s like the Lord spoke to me and told me to look at the fruits of our labor not always the weeds. I know I should be doing this but I can get off track real quick in life. I imagine He probably shakes his head a lot at me.
Since listening to Him, yes the weeds are still there but I am finding joy in the plants and progress.
Now I need to apply this to my everyday life and look for the beauty, not the weeds.
